I really love this manga, and this chapter is so important because it emphasizes on how Ai-san thinks of artists in general, and how by being close to one she can finally realize they are people who struggle just like her.

Ai and Misumi are, once again, the cutest, I'm not growing tired of them in the slightlest.

Seeing their evolving relationship is so rewarding. It's great how Ai never really questions whether Misumi deserves this opportunity, only being worried about losing touch with her.

I am a little surprised it never occurs to her that she'll still have an "in" with Misumi's art by being her girlfriend (it's not unlikely that Misumi could give her sneak peeks of stuff), but I suppose that's part of what keeps their relationship wholesome instead of verging into creepy. There's still a distance there that seems to built from how they both view their bond as being largely through their shared Fandom. It's like that "leaving room for the Holy Spirit" thing, except it's "leaving room for 'Iga x Totsu'. "

Plus, they both assume that the relationship is unbalanced, but in favor of the other person. Ai obviously worships her view of Misumi as an artist and considers her (Misumi) to be way out of her own league, but we've also seen that Ai genuinely beautiful and constantly turns heads. It's only her obliviousness and obsessive geekiness that likely has kept her alone. She also really underestimates the value of her maturity and experience, when we see from Misumi's point of view just how cool Ai can be when she's taking charge and working through problems like the professional she is.
