The only talk in the catholic bible is that there was Adam and Eve, and they had two sons, Cane and Able, and one of them killed the other. So I always wondered where we all came from, since humanity should have rightly ended at that point. However, I remember watching a video on YT discussing some more bonkers strands of American Christianity, and they have really padded the story out to try and make it a bit more reasonable, but they went nuts with it and had Adam and Eve living for hundreds of years. Absolute batsh*t crazy nonsense. Yet they are happier to accept that nonsense rather than accept we came from apes.

Well, there had to be some sort of inbreeding somewhere, maybe between her children, because they have descendants. I'm not Christian btw so excuse my unfamiliarity with the subject
