This is one of my favorite mangas, and really well-written. I read through all of Usotsuki Lily but had mixed feelings on it, so my expectations were fairly low for this, but it ended up 10x better than I expected. This is my third time reading it, and it’s still amazing. People who’re overly concerned about BL/GL/NL, don’t read this. If you’re looking for a refreshing new story, on the other hand, give this a try!

Lol, screw your reactionary comment. It's just a below average piece with truly AWFUL character writing.

I can't help but think that people should just follow their natural urges* and get whatever happens to fester in them out of their systems instead of transmogrifying those impulses into this sort of waste of time escapism. Almost everything here is fuelled explicitly (key word) by the author's preferred sexual fetishes (yaoi, yuri, sex transformation), and that very much gets in the way of creating a believable - from a psychological standpoint - story. There were maybe three or four instances in the whole manga when I'd thought: "yup, that's probably how a person would've behaved in this type of situation".

And this shit drags for five volumes.

So yeah, if you happen to like BL-GL you'll very likely be satisfied with this story. But feeling even a little bit lukewarm about those genres will make you at least dislike it, because at the end of the day it's lazy, uninspired, conforming, overtly gratuitous and most of all, a badly written book. Don't pretend like it caters to anyone else than its designated audiences.

I think the author could have divided it into two diffrent stories, one about the genderswap and another about the bl, just mixing all togheter made the story a little off, it started great, then at one point it fell apart, and then it slowly became good again, resulting into a really good ending, but the beggining and the ending seems like two diffrent stories, but it was still good, i recommend it, but i would recommend that you guys read this spoiler, and then read it if you're okay with it, then here it goes...

only the shounen ai genre develops to the end, so if you're looking for a cute complete gender bender story like i was, you're not gonna find it here, but the cliches are there if you're intrested

Genuinely a fun read exploring personal identity in relation to love. If you're just here for a specific tag you might not enjoy it as much, but I'd still recommend it!

This comment section is probably the most polarized thing I've read all day. Reminds me (again) to never trust comment sections and just read it

It's a good story, with a good ending.

Except for poor Ukon, left all alone...

Not sure why people get up in arms about mixing genres.
