Well, he's a novelist. Maybe he can write a story continuing the legend into something where they can stay in the human world. The novel would probably sell well in that town and maybe enough people will believe it so that Rin can stay.

I was just thinking the same thing lol. I sure hope that's how it works. This story is way too sweet for it to not have a happy ending. /sigh but then the sad ending would fit it perfectly too. I'm tormented.
