@ZeroWWE ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

If you don't mind being spoiled a bit, you should open the spoiler to understand the reasoning behind FMC "loving" the MC as an "elder brother" or "onii-chan" or however you put it in your mind when you read that speech bubble.
From what I could gather from an MTL reading of the WN, it seems like the childhood friend actually does love him, and not as just an elder brother. She did try to get a kiss from him. Seems like she just messed up when she was younger. Someone who has already read the WN or LN, please confirm?
Edit: Seems like she did screw herself over herself. As of Chapter 41 of the WN, she's showed many signs of being very interested in him, even going as far as to undress and get MC to apply some antidote on her. Chapter 45 of the WN is when we learn why he hasn't made any moves, which is stated in Ch 1 of this manga; she loves him as an elder brother and not romantically. Basically shot herself in the leg big time

Edit #2: I've figured it out boys, it isn't that she shot herself in the leg. Actually, it's a bit of both of them messing up, though more of her. MC is too shy to propose to her and ask her for her hand in marriage, so he blurts out "I'll become your husband(Danna)", which is a less aggressive way to propose (?). She's mortified when she hears him because she hears it as "I'll become your master(Danna)", which her adopted father technically was. This is why she says "I love you, as an elder brother" because she doesn't want him to become her master or anything of that sort. It's one of those moments where if you don't have a TL note explaining the Japanese characters behind it, you'll be confuzzled. Not that it's relevant in Ch 1, of course. Let me know if I'm wrong on my understanding of the WN. This is Ch 56 of the WN, the chapter where the misunderstanding gets cleared up.

Wow. I admit I read a lot of trash, but jeez, this is bad. It's like the author never heard about "show, don't tell": "Oh, let me tell you how my sister got cursed", etc, with no build-up to make you give a rip. Trash I can forgive, but boring? I'll leave this to others who glean some enjoyment out of it.

Hmmmm? Isn't this is about the MC level up by breathing in the dungeon?
The deeper the dungeon floor the more magic particles floating around if I'm correct.
I've read the web novel long time ago so I forgotten the plot already.

This seems like a very cookie cutter manga. The art is not that great so far. I guess I'll read this manga when I am on the shitter to pass time.

@Shinonome: So when you guys say that Purin's name is actually "Purine", you mean that there's supposed to be a non-silent e at the end, or what?

@Kozutan: Because that's not exactly unprecedented or that uncommon in manga/anime. Are you new to the anime/manga community?

@marqfja87:
More like ...instead of calling her with a chemical substance name ...we went for a funny name (purine--->purin--->pudding---> you can guess why I hope :D )
There was actually a debate on which one to use ... :D

@Shinonome: I understand the funny pun intended by "Purin". I'm just curious if it's indeed an accurate romanization of whatever pronunciation was given by the Japanese text, considering that your first thought was "Purine". If the Japanese literally said "Purin", then it seems somewhat odd that, as JTL translators, you'd think of "purine" before the Japanese loanword "purin" given how often the latter is used (if it was obscure in the past, it must have become far more popular after KanColle character Prinz Eugen's debut, given her common fan nickname of "Purin").

Afaik the literal translation is some kind of chemical substance or derivate than in the end became purine, (much like in dog days and gate they have names of cakes and such). But we didn't really like it, so bteween the shortening and her ....attributes, became Purin.

@Shinonome: ... You know, it could very well be that the author actually meant to make a pun on "purin" (i.e. "pudding") as a reference to the girl's huge bust, and whatever dictionary you used to plug in the relevant katakana automatically went for the first possible meaning associated with that particular katakana combination, and that happened to be the completely unrelated-to-the-context English word "purine", which the author may not have even been remotely close to thinking about when they came up with the punny name.

Can I just ask you why are you so focused on that ? And how does that matter so much in the manga ?

i feel bad for Purin because she loves the MC but she said she wanted him to be her Big Brother forever, and made him think that she only sees him has a brother
