She’s blind, but her eyes have focus, and they are also always staring at the right direction, directly at whatever is going on.
> can also “see” based on intuition, wind, etc.
So basically not blind, except nominally. She doesn’t even look blind.
Kinda really mad the MC chose to save dangerous bandits that were clearly trying to kill for nefarious purposes and kill the Dragon the provoked. We were even told that they probably destroyed the Dragon’s nest and the Dragon’s themselves only fly around not coming down unless something seriously gets them mad. He saved them because they have families ro grieve? THEY PROBABLY DESTROYED THE DRAGON’S EGGS AND SLAUGHTERED HIS UNBORN CHILDREN (that’s what I get from “destroyed nest”). I hate that sort of self serving justice and just makes me hate the so called “hero”. Let’s save the criminals that provoked normally peaceful creatures and kill the innocent creature they provoked because human. Ugh. If he wanted to save lives he could have easily ended it without killing the Dragon or he could have let the bandits get what they deserved (Reap what you sow; maybe don’t follow a priestess to a super dangerous mountain cuz money; definitely don’t poke the Dragon’s nest on your way there). Nope. Instead kill the innocent and let the criminals live then release them (I assume? They weren’t exactly escorted). I really liked his upbringing (which makes this make less sense), but I don’t like where the story is going with it’s idea of a “hero”.
Jupp. Okay, he saved the bandit knights. His call. He's the good one. But the dragon should have lived to. Until it is established, that dragons are pure evil and cruel creatures, that leave their territories to eat babies on a regular basis, because they taste the best (Not the babies. The tears of the parents.), I don't believe that dragon had to die. The dragon didn't even get a chance to be driven away. He just 1-hit killed it. Mean!
So burning the forest is a no go, but save the bandits who destroyed the dragons nest. Then kill the dragon whose nest got destroyed. Talk about a hypocrite.
RIGHT???? The MC kills the dragon that did nothing wrong, but come seeking revenge. And then he lets the assassins go, cuz they have a family that would be sad? What about that dragon's family? Damn, this main character's pretty unlikeable.
@Derpdederp I mean I do. At least when it happens poorly and I’m sure at least one other person does. Plus at the very least batman, superman, spiderman, and the whole lot make it a big deal that the villains be prosecuted by the law (which yeah I also find hard to read after a bit; not gonna lie though I mainly read comics for nostalgia and fan service. I mean I’d be pretty mad if X iconic villain finally got the death penalty and was never used again). Personally though I like anti heroes and character like The Doctor (Doctor Who) who are just doing what they want and if they happen to save you, they happen to save you. I mean yeah some will go the extra mile to save you, but I like the ones that don’t call themselves a hero or deny they’ve done some pretty bad things trying to save the day. Even better I like those that don’t discriminate in who they save and just try to create the best outcome for all parties (unlikely, but the fact that they try to understand both sides and all perspectives means a lot to me). What I see here is an idea of Justice that applies only to a selective group and I hate that (that’s just me though; can’t speak for everyone). Personally in series like this with an op MC, i like to see a protag that either does what he wants because he wants to do it or one that doesn’t try to be a hero but is genuinely kind to every living thing regardless of race or species. I at least don’t want to see one that kills an innocent creature to save bandits and then goes on a hero’s journey without a second of remorse. I mean yeah I guess this idea of heroism/justice = “only humans matter” is a lot more indicative of the real world and more widely accepted in society (so less people have an issue with it), but I don’t like it, which makes it harder for me to read series like this. Just me though; I don’t really care if no one else has an issue with it.
seriously? killing the dragon who is here for revenge and saving the humans with evil intentions? "These guys have families too" okay but does the dragon not have a family or home that these humans destroyed? pretty stupid
on the other hand jealous mother in law goddess is pretty nice
