There are many reasons you could write a main character having to bring religion into a non-religious world, but this one seems so far fetched. If Death is natural and nothing to be afraid of (the same thing in religion too), shouldn't forcing death upon others before their time for no reason be considered the most immoral of acts? Why would people want sacrifices, and to what end?

The anime adaptation is great. This manga is a dud. Its not the same without the intentional bad cgi, batshit crazy pacing for comedic value and the super talented VA of Mitama.

The whole anime felt like a fever dream
