I'm wondering about this. His control over the other archons hinge on personally knowing their biggest followers. It's a tightrope, but that's enough even if they get a new worship base, but it'll crumble after they all die of old age.

But that might be intentional. Yukito is purposely stacking the deck against Mitama for after his lifespan ends.
