I really hate stories like this with a main protagonist whose a trash human being, and an author who combines serious and silly, juxtaposition the two to create extreme tonal whiplash. It's overused to the point where the jokes don't land, and after the second chapter, the comedy got really fucking stale really fucking quickly to the point where I couldn't even crack a smile at most of the retarded shit going on. The author tries way too god damn hard to be comedic and it just falls completely flat. This would've been better if most of the comedy was removed. This ain't no Ragna Crimson where the tonal whiplash actually accentuates the morbid situation, causing the scene to be even funnier.
Plus, MC really is just a trash person on the inside. Lost all interest in this after seeing his true colors and how he tries to trick everyone using false words. I really hate that kind of shit. I was hoping this would've been more dark and got into the nitty gritty on just how fucking destructive cults are to the people. Instead, it's all played for laughs, and Yukito fully embraces cult tactics; the same shit he condemned in his prior life. God I hate this sort of personality shift that happens out of nowhere.
