As strong as their reaction is, it really wasn't strong enough. Level 8 & 9 pain tolerances at his apparent age would basically require prolonged actual torture (or living with high levels of constant pain). And Housekeeping 10 would be like a King's Head Maid. By like age 11. Those together would again be like constantly cleaning, in a scratchy wool outfit that rubs you raw while someone whips you, for 16 hrs a day for 5 solid years. His skills are crazy, he really got some weird boosts from his Trials.
