Yes, I do think he is a bad father but you guys blame the father too much. He is a kind of man that only care about his work. Do you think that kind of man would want a wife or kid? Nope, they would be a hindrance to his work. There's a thing called pre-arranged marriage here in Asia. His ancestor probably pushed a wife and a kid into his life to keep the dojo and family tradition running. Well, at least he managed to fulfill the minimal obligation of a father, even though that's barely enough.

Some of you say that teacher should have relied on X-rays or whatever, but shouldn't any half-decent teacher be able to see through children's lies? I mean, children lie all the time, a teacher can't do his/her job without being able to see through them.

That said, violence exists to be used. Expecting children to not fight each other is just plain crazy. Expecting people to not beat up criminals is just plain crazy.

it is not that simple. Most school prioritize their reputation and teachers have to follow that rule. Instead of trying to find and defend the truth, they would rather lean on the side that will make the more trouble.

Instead of having 4 pairs of parents complaining to you, it’s better to antagonize one child.

@CheerTheDead - what kind of reputation can be protected like that? A school needs to be seen as tough but fair, or supportive of the students. Reputation of being dumb and unable to deal with bullying is not worth building or protecting.

Usually it will go like this, four children accuse one child of being the bully and the school will believe these children’s lie and bend over to their parents. Even if the accused child screams injustice, we still have a 4-1 number of witness so advantage still lean toward the group of kids. If thing went public, most of the time the media that has been bribed or influent by the school or the other kids’ parents will further pull the lone kid down.

Soon the parents of the lone kid will be threatened that what they are doing is pointless since no one will believe them and they will have to drop their complain.

In democracy society, the mass always have the hand and the many usually win. The school will definitely take the winning side and not the losing one. That’s how they protect their reputation by oppressing the truth and the victim.

@CheerTheDead - still no good reputation in there. Especially since all the kids (and by extension their parents) know the truth. It just makes the school look corrupt and willing to be bribed by the rich kid's parents.
