Aw, poor Elia. Shafted for some iron ingots.
Thanks for the chapter as always!

Well, that’s by design. The region is relatively stable, there’s no signs of war, no prejudice against beastmen, people respect him for his skills despite his age and thus treat him fairly. And the Gods themselves are looking over his well-being. Plus, the duke’s family are a rare example of nobility that serve and foster good relationships with the people. I don’t think this will turn into Re: Zero or Shield Hero, because it was never going to be that from its inception.

@Sep10trion I get you but there no drama when it should have drama it just so boring, I see a lot of isekai which should have conflict but really don't and the manga should have adventure but doesn't have any

@Fuko they don't need that, they can just split the atoms with alchemy. Didn't you pay attention?

@Zael that doesn't mean he would be able to differentiate isotopes, he was able to separate iron from oxygen but to know what type of uranium is which... Anyways, they don't even have the technology/need to use uranium and we don't even know if it exists in that world.

I don't know that much about metals, but does iron really only made of iron? For example, water doesn't only made of water, it includes many others like oxygen etc., and afaik water in pure form (as in only made of water) is no way superior than regular water, in fact it's rather dangerous to be consumed as it takes whatever it need from the body to be regular water (it doesn't want to stay pure). So is pure iron (strictly only made of iron) superior than regular iron (includes carbon etc.)?

Can someone knowledgeable please answer this? I'm curious in this particular topic. And also please correct me if I'm wrong anywhere.

im not an expert/knowledgable but iron is one of the elements so it can be made up of iron (pure iron found in meteorites) , unless you are talking about the soil stuff here, in which case it is iron and oxygen atoms.

both 'pure iron' and 'regular iron' can be used in different ways, and doesn't have a significant superiority over one another. for example cast iron (has 2.4% to 4% carbon ratios) is useful due to the relatively low melting point and has excellent machinability (easily cut), where as wrought iron (0.08% carbon) is tough, corrosion-resistant and easily welded, so it is used in various architecture such as the Eiffel Tower.

please take everything i have said with a grain of salt as I am not as knowledgeable as others

@plonz Can it be purely made of iron (as in 100% iron with no other element whatsoever)? And does iron found in meteorites also include carbon? Because I read that even wrought iron still include other materials, so I guess the only possibility of 100% iron is from outside (meteorites)?

@fuadhika Iron can be pure iron, but we don't have it that often here on earth thanks to oxygen and usually when working with iron we mix carbon in to make it stronger or whatever. Iron and water are very diffrent, iron is an ellement made up of iron atoms while water is a molecule made up of hydrogen and oxygen.

edit: Pure iron isn't really superior than iron alloys, it's weaker and reacts strongly with oxygen creating rust.
