And they Town is primarily Miners, Adventurers and Monster tamers, all of which are highly likely to get uncommonly dirty, AND at lest two are highly intense physical activity, So people are unlikely to want to spend the effort cleaning their clothes after work. That, and laundry is much more intense then youre probably thinking of, given people do not have washing machines, or more effective soaps. That and beast people which make up a portion of those jobs are highly sensitive to smell, so that worlds normal cleaning probably isnt anywhere as effective for them as the cleaner slimes which use a specialized odor eliminating fluid.
