I also have a question, where is this based at in the light novel? Or is it manga original or something. I read what I thought was the light novel to the end and everything is about the same up until this new "Santa Claus, cheer-up" arc for Harusame. I was wondering if I missed something or if this is completely new.

The 1st show is still better in terms of effects and writing. The 2nd one was alright thanks to the Film Research Club president acting as Kill Everyone to give Uniform King Arai a redemption arc. I hope the next one gives a proper focus to Glass Noodle.
