I mean if you understand the actual situation (the progress) for kanna and jeanne in that family arc, you surely would understand the author is not taking the romance plot as her first priority. It kinda lost since this and can go back if the author got in the mood later (after the author having fun with random plot of course)

My guess is that it’s going to tie into some bigger plot that has to do with Jeanne’s original mission. There’s no possibility of Kyougi falling for anyone else.
