I'll admit, I was wrong several chapters ago. I said I didn't want a pageant arc because they're never good and they have a tendency to ruin characters. This time, the arc is still bad, but at least it didn't ruin the characters... it just introduced a bad character and proceeded to make her worse with every appearance.

Basically, for whatever reason, probably friendship or shit, Hanako didn't want her lifesaving surgery taken care of by people who probably spend more on stuff to wipe their ass with.

And they, for whatever reason, respected that decision.
