oh rabbit girl back, god that mothers eyes on page 3 is wild idk if it's on purpose but it seeming cross eye seems a bit weird

her becoming 'god' is a weird plot twist but existential horror /matrix kinda thing is interesting

that said, assuming the guy at the end isn't trying to lie/manipulate her into doing something, even if it's a fake reality lots of ppl would want escapism by giving them a semi cushy life/why isekais are so popular lol

So, did she wake up to escape the pain of losing her rabbit, or opt to stay in the dream to escape her medical situation?

PLACE BETS NOW.

She

was in some sort of medical emergency and is in a coma. Her life is a hallucination. She can either wake up into locked-in syndrome, or continue to persist in the dream her mind created where she is a failure. The guy there was her subconscious saying "so you realized you're in a dream. Stay, or go?"

And she chose...

The story is filled with symbolism. Chapter 2 is a fabricated reality, the same as Chapter 3 - though in this case, it's a dream that reflects Subaru's unconscious mind. There are even pieces from Chapter 2 that foreshadow her accident.

The rabbit, Rope, symbolizes Subaru herself - her vegetative state makes her entirely dependent on others for survival. This creates a parallel: Rope’s situation is a projection of Subaru’s own fears about being helpless, neglected, and forgotten.

"This is a dream and you are the god of this world"
"Wait does that mean I could have been enjoying a harem of cat eared maids all this time? ALL THIS TIME?! AND JUST NOW YOU DECIDE TO TELL ME?! To the void with you."

Imagine you wake up one morning and it's the literal end of the world. Full-blown existential apocalypse; people screaming, sobbing, or raging as they fade out of existence, Back to the Future-style. Confused and scared, you turn to the nearest person who looks like they still have their wits about them.

"Why is this happening?" you ask.

"God's bunny died." they reply.

So what I'm getting is that she used her professor X powers and induced her self into a coma for years because she let a rabbit die. Guess her guilt runs that deep huh

Her dreamworld Matrix and the chapter's title are even more meaningful when you consider when she's first introduced back in Ch. 2 she had just woken up from oversleeping.
