You're missing the point here. What happened last chapter? Well, right now we don't actually know anymore. But what sure as shit seemed to have happened last chapter? Dude literally pressured Yukino into sex after she confided in him that she's afraid of the dark because of a childhood trauma that she hasn't worked through. This, by the way, is where he became a lesser character. He died last chapter. I'm waiting for his resurrection, but that's not gonna happen.
What would the kind, decent, romantic man we had 28 chapters of be thinking as he lie dying of the Japanese cold?
Will he finish the story he set out to write about Yukino? Did he do the right thing? Was all of this just part of the fox' spell?
He doesn't think about her warmth or any sensation of her at all. He's thinking "I GOTTA BUST A NUT INSIDE HER BEFORE I DIE THE WAY A ROCK SPIDER DOES" like some sort of complete psychopath.
