EVEN if she didn't cheat, he broke up with girl because they were having a toxic relationship... SO MOVE ON, MEGANE-CHAN
Which was his fault btw. He prioritized his club over her while she made him her priority.

She was feeling very insecure about how close the MC was to Ayaka. That combined with bad advice from friends convinced her to go on a “trial” date with a guy who’s been drooling over her for a long time. The idea of the date was to see how it felt to be with a different guy who’s focused on her. That was the date that the MC saw.

Was it cheating? I think most people would say it was, and it was also just a really fucking stupid idea. So was ghosting the MC for months on end. Her friends screwed her over with their advice and she was an idiot to listen to them.

All that said, their relationship was doomed anyway since both of them clearly didn’t know how to communicate effectively with each other.
I think the MC neglecting her was the first step which lead to her BS friends fucking it up for her.

I had hoped things were not like you said but sad I guess.

Also got any more spoilers? Pleaseeee
Thanks in advance lol

MC for sure has a problem where he seems to take people for granted but I don’t think it reaches the level of actual neglect. It sure doesn’t help that the couple don’t go to the same university but Ayaka and MC are at the same school.

I haven’t read the novels but others have mentioned some spoilers which I shared earlier. If they were accurate, this story ends something like:
MC and his ex talk it out and end up being friendly but don’t get back together. MC ends up in a relationship with the Kouhai. Not sure what happens with Ayaka.

Personally I liked Ayaka the most but if MC ended up with her then it would’ve meant that the ex was right all along and I hate that idea so it’s probably for the best.

So MC is gonna have a trial date with Mayu on Reina's insistence. He initially did want to reject the idea (which was proposed by Reina once again) as he believed it would be wrong to start dating again as soon as he and Reina had started over.

Reina and MC have started from "scratch" and are friends. Both forgiving each other for their mistakes. MC for his actions that lead her to feel neglected by MC and jealous of Ayaka. And he was insistent that it was his fault.
But Reina super insistent that it was her fault. Even if it was a momentary lapse (and it was a very momentary lapse btw not as extreme as some other people mentioning the spoilers made it sound like) but she reinstates that when someone questions the extent of the cheating (allowing loser ass bitch boy to hold her while she was daydreaming about her relationship problems basically) they have cheated.

Also with Ayaka well they have some moments as well and keep getting closer. And he does realize he wanted to know if something more is possible else why would he have went on the trip in the first place. And Ayaka does keep giving him signals still.

So basically he is conflicted as with all 3 girls he clearly has something that is more than friends status but not lovers status. So in the latest chapter he has basically agreed to go on a trial date with his cute Kohai due to Reina's insistence.

The next volume will be released on November 1st.

Also MCs basketball club friend is super swell dude. A pretty good friend second only to Ayaka. As MC painted the wrong picture about Reina and the cheating he wanted to clear up the misconception with Toudou as he wanted to clear Reina's name

So in all in all 3 girls are really good man :(

I'm someone who hates cheating to death. Before reading a romance manga I search to make sure it's NTR or cheating free through reddit and other forums as it breaks my heart to see the character I invest emotions in hurt.

So even someone as extreme as me can actually overlook the things in this case I'm sure a lot more people will understand.

So whenever the author decides its time to wrap this up will be sad when two of them will have two inevitably lose.
And until them this manga will keep being good as long as the material is adapted well enough

It will probably adopted 100%, as JP don't care as long as it sells ( good art ).

I just hope Reina's backstory is done well. Because it might make or break the character's future opinion if there is even a bit of a mishap.

I think she's a wonderful character just like the other 2 girls. But I can already see hate being spewed on the threads we are very quick to hatred

Dunno what are you even on, or which volume you read up to but, you couldn't be more wrong
You probably only read up to volume 7, in Volume 8 which is the main story final, mc end up as a couple with Mayu, the After Story Volume which was published on October 1st, is a 2 years later epilogue along some extras, there is no other volume coming, the ending been known since November last year, so the spoiler you failed to correct was indeed right (you probably confused the dates, cuz volume 8 was published on Nov 1st 2023, we're in 2024 my dude)

The after story volume also include 2 "what if" stories for Reina and Ayaka respectively

Are you sure?
As I read from kakuyomu and the last chapter was published on July 11th 2024. Chapter 104. Which ends where I said it did pretty much. And I have read similar things on reddit threads that we have a volume releasing on the 1st of November.
If you can then please do provide a link to read from 104 onwards

Yes im sure, kakuyomu is the WN, not the LN, the LN already finished i linked you to it both volumes for final main story and epilogue, what else do you want lmao, purchase them and read them, even if you can't purchase them, the volume 8 synopsis and after story volume synopsis gonna tell you as much (even volume 7 which was published in dec 2022, tell you that the next is the finale in the synopsis, in bold even), even in previous threads and reddit threads, people already been posting the ending because it been known for a year (the WN always been updated way after a LN volume get published)

Gonna help you up and give you a few tweets too by the author and publisher from a year ago

And as for the November 1st Volume 8 release that you mean in kakuyomu, pretty sure that was for the LN, which volume 8 was indeed published on November 1st, but of 2023, but author didn't remove that out, aside, the WN doesn't release in volumes, the WN is actually way far behind, currently around early LN Volume 4 which is where the whole trial date with Mayu happens, which is not that far ahead of where manga currently is at which is in the middle of volume 3, read the bottom of chapter 96, it tell you that too, that is adding vol.4 content (and to some extent 89 which tell you that there is 8 volumes out)

Author is active on twitter, if there was another volume being published on November 1st this year, you would've seen author promoting it by now, but there is nothing because is completely done with the After Story, now author focusing on its other work which started in April this year, and got its Volume 1 published on October 1st along the After Story for this work, https://www.kadokawa.co.jp/product/322404000587/
