Why do people automatically rate it 1 star just cause its NTR?
I mean cheating is pretty fucked up but theres way more morally and ethically wrong mangas in here and not many are bombing those ratings. Like if you don't like it don't read it or actually rate the writing.

So... to those people saying "NTR, thus I hate" the situation as presented here is... emotionally a lot more messy than that.

A kinda-sorta breakup putting the relationship between the existing couple in "it's complicated territory" combined with the lead character initially just offering a place to stay, this feels like a fairly organic setup that can actually happen in the real world, and doesn't carry the same kind of moral weight as cheating, or the uncomfortable lurid fetishization of the "cuck chair".

Cause cheating is fucked up and we shouldnt normalize ts, its insane how far we have advanced that these type of topics are not only normal, but also praised, cheating is the easiest and most shallow and low hanging fruit possible for an author to build a romance series. "oh how poetical she's in a relationship but its not the love of her life so she cant be happy unless she's with her fated one. And of course she cant break up first, cheating is a must 🤑🤑🤑🤑✌️"

Marital infidelity was considered the height of courtly romance in Europe during the middle ages, which should serve as adequate proof that medieval nobles were fucked in the head. Some writers and poets of the time even claimed that true love couldn't exist between a married couple. Take the Lancelot/Guinevere relationship in the tale of King Arthur for example. Nowadays most retellings of the tale portray their adulterous relationship negatively, (as they damn well should,) but at the time Lancelot was seen as a paragon of chivalrous love for giving Guinevere the romantic devotion that Arthur, being her lawful spouse, was unable to.

So... I agree that cheating is morally wrong. however I do believe that the level of vitriol stories like this receive is perhaps, disproportionate considering how many manga either Glorify or Exploit rape and murder and child sexual abuse and other such horrors, acts that I would consider of greater moral concern than infidelity, and don't seem to raise nearly as much outrage, it also hasn't escaped my notice that if a dude is double-timing an entire-ass Harem that is glorified enough to be a whole-ass genre that largely passes without criticism.

But... when it's a woman, or especially a queer woman cheating, suddenly the knives come out. I get it on some level, I'm a gay gal and I wouldn't be happy to have my girlfriend cheating on me, but I am able to make the distinction between personally endorsing a topic and reading a story that is at least attempting to seriously examine a messy topic.

Now I'm not insinuating that either of you are the type of person to whack it to kiddy porn or whatever, but I ask for a little goddamn perspective if we're moralizing about morally bankrupt behavior in fiction, if you feel that passionate about immoral sexual acts, then I expect you to be spending at least as much time firing anger at lolislop.

"Oh but I don't set out to look for it, I avoid it" You certainly didn't seem to avoid this story that wasn't your genre of choice.
