Well starting with Kaori, at the beginning of the interview she says: "I would love to work at your company, that's why I applied!". Kaori says she wants to work at the company and not for the company. Normally these production companies work with per-film contracts, where the actress is paid according to the filming time and I imagine they have additional payments depending on what is being recorded (just like prostitution...).
The tan gal says, "In this case, is it for the production team? Are you in for an interview?" to which the woman conducting the interview says: "That's what I was trying to tell you.". Then the tanned gal says: ""So we will be colleagues.".
Well, i take what you're said for granted. But then, it don't seem to be very coherent with what the latest chapter tried to establishes. Even at the begining of the chapter, we see the latest AV actor recruit quit the job, and seem to be lacking of actress, why recruting a production staff, especially a young woman ?
I mean... If she does AV, the only thing it will bring is a huge worry that someone will find out that she did AV. If she tries to be an idol later, at the moment someone finds out she did AV, her career will be over. I suppose that by working on the production, she will see what it's like behind the scenes of the entertainment industry, which could be beneficial, but I still think it's risky for someone who wants to be an idol.
Like I said before, it would have been logical in the idea of Kaori being gaslitighted to think AV is an opportunity after Saori glamorize that industry, to introduce some drama when she realise it wasn't a good idea and probably condeem her chance of being an idol. But what can the author bring with her being a porn producer to the story if there is no evolution? The whole point of Kaori not applied to be an idol is because she lack confidence. What confidence can being a porn productor bring to a young woman that want to be an idol ? Plus at the end, even if she is not an actress for now, she would be still labeled as someone who worked for AV industry, and will not be seen in a good eyes either from family/friend or an idol recruiter.
Like, at best, she would just lost time.
I mean... If the author's intention is to have Kaori actually do AV, I think the author did a very bad job trying to set it up. Writing was never the author's strong point, but after the break it seems to have gotten worse(?):
The introduction of Saori into the story as an attempt to glamorize someone doing AV is questionable (especially if you know how degrading AV in Japan can be);
The little timeskip that didn't explain how Kaori and Takeru's relationship ended is confusing;
Kaori wanting to be an idol but getting involved with AV is contradictory.
Well, I'm not saying it's good writting, but if the intention isn't to let Kaori being an AV actress, then what the point of current arc, and Saori characther as whole ? Like, everything is made to introduce and glamorize the AV industry in the eyes of Kaori. If the dilema of Kaori being an AV actress is not answered or just discard after showing whole chapter of Kaori being positively interested by porn, then all the chapter since the timeskip would have few to no purpose. Don't think it's the best idea to go for a whole bait arc that is not liked by your reader.
As for the feedback, the majority of them on twitter are japanese indeed.
