nah, she does love the mc, its just not like normal love. alot of manga have this motif. but the author is hentai artist, so yeah, we dont really know what he will do next
Could you show an example, like what is that motif
This entire series was built on trying to rage bait the reader without doing anything crazy so i doubt any of the 2 main girls will have sex with someone who isn't the mc. On another note though i was reading korean comments on a random forum about this series before chapter 16(the chapter before everyone realized the big tit girl was lying about her virginity) they were basically saying in 2008 when a heroine was revealed to not be a virgin the artist was shunned and he was out of work for the rest of his career(look at kannagi incident for reference) but nowadays there are entire series that revolve around the main character dating a used woman. How japan has changed.
Things like that though is how characters have another side, if their other side is "that" then it feels like betraying the character everyone thought they knew (arguably writer betraying reader's trust, why hide for so long).
Imagine instead of, Luke I am your father, it's, Luke I am a whore
If one character is (usually mc) and the other isn't, it feels odd. I remember reading some shoujo with this plot, it was just weird (I forget the name, didn't bother to save it, if someone knows what I'm talking about link it please, I think the male lead was blonde and female lead overheard him talking to his friend about how virgins are too much trouble, in high school, so she wanted to not-be-a-virgin for him, so dumb,
Note 1)(I'll try and find it sometime, I didn't read past like 1-2 chapters)
personally, generally all the people I've met who've done the deed when they were younger ended up being worse people than those who didn't (in that they lacked confidence, had trauma, weren't trustworthy, or were narcissists), also applies to those who were trying to do it
I'm not a hypocrite, male or female, delaying for intimacy and avoiding stds is better
If the character's done it with someone else, then it's a can of worms of why, if they brush it off like it (he/you) didn't matter, like there is no why/reason, then there's no guaranteeing it won't happen again (it's probably more likely to happen than not)("you're different" might be the most common lie ever), if it was something reasonable like being a widow/widower, that's perfectly fine, but generally the why is just being short-sighted, aiming for short-term pleasure over long-term intimacy, which for a partner/parent, is like the worst trait to have, we've seen it all before, they get bored, and stuff which harms the relationship pops up, because the "magic" (pleasure/thrill) is gone
(I could rant on people wanting life to be "magical", won't though, I'm sure anyone understands why it's a bad mindset to have, I remember someone talking about how relationships aren't built on ephemeral feelings, true)
Also, yea, your last point is spot on, comick tags:
male lead with sexual experience 49
female lead with sexual experience 121
I feel like it's because 86% or whatever of mangaka's are female, and the whole dynamic had the "overbearing" effect, like a rebellious teenager, so they write in an "empowering" way. I can't really seem to care though, why care, but I guess if it's your story you do care
(
Note 1) Also also, there's no "fixing" them (like "
Meguro-san wa Hajimete ja Nai"), it's a chosen pleasureable act
A story about "fixing" (non-sexual) would be "
Asper Kanojo", by the end they literally talk about how there is no "fixing", just trying to do the best you can, day by day, that story's pretty okay, some odd parts and the end started to drop, but ended on a great note
Haven't read "Meguro-san wa Hajimete ja Nai", but saw a chapter and in the comments someone mentioned how everyone's so robotic and purely rational, like there's no emotions, which doesn't translate at all to real relationships, also how ALL of her friends have weird mindsets (I don't know them, but in the one chapter they were all like weirdly supportive, coming from different but supporting perspectives), I should read it cause how delusional it is, sounds interesting. The argument Meguro is actually more innocent than a virgin because she doesn't understand what sex is, is like
PEAK writing, like it cannot be more delusional than that, yea, the murderer is a murderer, but they're like innocent cause they don't understand it. Wish I could go through life like that, like in "The Invention of Lying"
this story 1/10 btw, art's good, that's it though
