For what it is, its not a bad chapter, although this sort of development should have happened a hundred chapters ago.
I do like that Chizuru is being more proactive, I wonder if his editor made him stop dragging things out?

Alright... Let me preface this by saying, there's still so much infuriating potential for it to cycle again and continue to drag interminably...

That being said Chizuru initiating any kind of physical contact in their "personal life" is a shift. It's a "familiar" gesture, and her mannerisms are shifting as well. It's a small pebble on a plane of glass with regard to the scale of "progress" (which sadly is just as likely to crack and send us all hurtling back into oblivion", but there it is. For clarity, this should be read in a flat monotone voice, there's no excitement, anticipation or joy, as the author has demonstrated a willingness to stretch this story to a molecular-scale line to drag it out... So not getting my hopes up, merely evaluating.

Just being picky… I'd say it's more like an aging bread. First it develops mold. Then over time even the few remaining good spots dry up and crumble to powder mixed in with the mold. Then mercifully, a breeze comes along and it all blows away.

You know... It occurs to me... That if you cut out 80% of just the unnecessary CRAP, from this manga... It would actually be better than it is. But the length and "saturation" just wears you down. Maybe myself, and others, just don't have enough of a filter for it. Selfishly, I feel that's more of an author's failure, forcing a reader to "pan" for relevance and enjoyment in an ocean of chaff. I'm all for subtlety and hidden meanings, but only if it's hidden within something of at least thematic relevance and substance. These are the thoughts you get from me when I'm sleep deprived.
