This manga oozed 'theyre dating but they don't realize they're dating' energy so much I'm now waiting for trial marriage and trial "raise a child". MC will be sitting there on the couch with her in his 80s and think "damn, I'm going to be dying soon, this trial is about to end.. I should tell her how I feel before it's too late"

Is there such a thing as necessary drama?

There can be, especially in darker series that needs ups and downs, but it needs to be well written and ideally it should flow from the characters, theirs relationships and their status, not from some random event or new character. Romeo and Juliet had good drama that was created by the very premise and setting.

One of the most unique shoujo romance mangas as far as overall theme, plot and character writing goes. I thought this was a seinen romance manga with a female MC because this is way too quaint and wholesome for a shoujo romance. It's a lesser version of Skip and Loafers or Insomniac After School, which are seinen romances, but this is a breath of fresh air compared to so many self-insert fantasy / high school romances that plagued the shounen/shoujo romances with the most Mary Sue Male / Manic Pixie Girl Female Love Interest. I hope that the author will take notes of high school seinen romances and integrate drama / dark plots properly to the overall theme of the manga and not make it feel hamfisted for no reason. Because I'm loving this.
