Really got the feeling that the backstory existed just for convenience's sake so the story could be about some new girls learning how to run a bar. Glad it's not the case.

Nice to see the Manhattan appear. I feel like it hardly ever gets screen time in fiction compared to certainly the Martini or any number of other drinks.

The Manhattan was my dad's signature drink. I still make them in his honor. 2 parts Crown Royal Reserve, 1 part Carpano Antiqua sweet red vermouth, 2 dashes of bitters, bottom of a shot glass of Maraschino cherry juice, and a cherry.
