I thought it was too shouneniy and dumb before, now it reached a new peak.
- It is assumed that the heroes defeated the demon lord but he still forces them to stay and nobody opened this question.
- Multiple attempts of assassination remember that not only MC but also hero was attacked and wounded by kingdoms knights. Nobody opens the question once again.
- Despite promises of return makes arranged marriages
- Summoned girl doesn't point out that she herself is somewhat like a royalty i.e. meaning a grave offense in ranks of nobility
- King has broken an oath in an open forum i.e. his court heard and saw this
Despite all of this they still play along with kings actions and demands. Neither of summoned heroes have conversations with people about mistreatment. When a king outright decided to assassinate it was a sign that following his orders is a fool's errand that will never end thus you can at least covertely disrupt him or his kingdom. Hero can corrupt the princess potentially by saying all kinds of bad stuff about the king or coerce her demand for her father to release him, but no they decide to bend their knee to someone like that.
It's hard to read when basically everything in this story feels artificial and stupid. At this point i don't even understand what's the point of hiding his profession or skills, wouldn't it be better to have more leverage and power in the kingdom opposed to kingdoms despise and relentless attempts to disrupt or kill? In any country and kingdom, while the king holds the most power (usually not always) court holds equally the same power, especially in medieval times due to logistical and communication lags.
With their potential power and influence they could easily screw over this kingdom or at least the king at the very least the summoned girl should understand this since she comes from "royal" family and she understands inner workings.
