It feels like the author has written themselves into a corner with the basic premise of the entire story. Hiroki has to only ever put points into evasion and nothing else. If he gets any other effects, it has to come from equipment or new skills. As such, he'll never have a way to kill enemies on his own. The author further hamstrings Hiroki, by having him get surrounded in one spot. Realistically, Hiroki would be striving to avoid this, by continuously moving forward while dodging. As opposed to dogging in the same location. But for the sake of humor, he has to constantly get surrounded, and then needs to be rescued by other people.
Where does the story go from here? I'm guessing that each book will have him and the elf girl archer leave the party they are in. They spend some time on their own, until they meet a new low level party to travel with. They fight together and grow close, but then the plot forces them apart. Rinse and repeat. All in an effort to avoid letting Hiroki have consistent teammates. I'm hoping I'm wrong though and the author does something different to break the pattern I see emerging.
