Is it just me that do not like it when the main character's family or close friends also turn out to be gay?

I know it's an easy way to introduce different couples that are connected to the main characters, but it still makes the world and story feel a little cheap and unrealistic to me.
(also i know that gay siblings is a common thing, but still)
That’s exactly what I think. You can’t go ‘Cute Girls Doing Cute Things’ where the whole ass cast is kinda fruity but then you have males and in their universe straight couples are not just a thing for the parents… If everyone is gay it’s just not realistic and feels forced.

“And then there’s Yuri/Yaoi” just works with me if it’s a single gender school.

Lacks diversity if you don’t have at least one straight pairing in the setting they proposed so… it’s best to have no second pairing at all.

I know it’s too silly of a thing to complain about but it’s just a “oh ok, it’s one of those stories where all the relevant side characters will be gay by proxy… inventive” moment for me. I’d rather we assume all the other female friends are ace coded and just focus on the main Yuri couple…

Will I drop the story just because of that? No. Do I still think it’s lazy writing to make every close person to the MC gay? Yes, I do. If it’s not by the MC’s choice like it often happens in friend groups where people are out, then I do think it’s kinda lacking that all of them turn out to be gay for fanservice.

Just like everyone else that read yuri, I want to see lesbian girls and not girls being with guys, but I will say that everyone that is close to the MCs turns out to also be lesbians is a pretty annoying trope, it just feels so unrealistic.

I would persobally rather have it that we dont know the sexuality of the other characters than have them all be lesbians. I wouldnt even be surprised if it turns out that her only real friend is also a lesbian…

I am a lesbian, and I can assure you, that there are a lot more of those incidents, that you as a heterosexual might think. Most of the time you just aren't aware.

Yea so if you look back at the series, there's no other men in the series besides the BF at the start, the whole story could've been a girls school only but the author decided to just make him into a bad guy to question the sexuality of MC if she's into women and thats literally the whole point of the series

Imagine a typical rom-com manga with a main guy-girl couple, but there's also a yuri side couple — kind of like when a chef makes a special dish and gives the crusts of the bread to the yuri fans. reverse that and that's why i think if it yuri manga go on all yuri couple is way better.
