I am SOO glad that we finally got the story of them meeting from her perspective! The events that lead to the start of their relationship were pretty cryptic originally

The heavens smile upon your earnest love, Kaoruko. She almost gave up, but deciding to hold on paid off handsomely for her. And now we come full circle with chapter 1. This something I'd expect from a chapter 100 but chapter 40? Wow!

It's not often I read a romance where both the male and female leads are what I'd consider precious cinnamon rolls, but this is one of those. A high tier vanilla romance in my book.

I don't even mind that this chapter is basically a recap, I love seeing things from Kaoruko's POV. Getting to peer into the hearts and minds of both male and female leads is something I also enjoy in romances.
