How can these two be this precious? Subaru actually noticed signs that Saku was treating her exceptionally, but she just arrived at the wrong conclusion. He was feeling guilt over the sharp and snide remarks he threw her way when they were still not yet friends. They actually pointed this out, I kneel.

She smiled! And these two characters who rarely smile are getting along so wonderfully.

I don't know how this does it, but every time this is a joy to read with such emotionally intelligent characters. It's like I'm reading a story with sane and realistic characters. And proper communication is not an abnormally scarce resource here.

I'm also loving the comments in this thread. It's just full of unapologetic shippers - just like me. Makes me feel at home, with my people.
