@Kronix Go all the way back the original series Chapter 5. Takagi already explained Nishikata was already pretty sure of the outcome. What you take as no character development was actually training. He is trained by Takagi to be the way he is and she wouldn't have it any other way. In a lot of ways its probably the same for Nishikata. He would like a win, but he is probably too comfortable with a happy loving wife and a cute and rambunctious kid to care if he is a bottom for life.
