Aside from the fact that all the characters have smartphones, I think the author is hearkening back to an older time when there were not 500 channels of nonstop entertainment on television on at all times. Back in the 80s there were only a handful of shows to watch at any given hour. I'm not sure if that's the case with Japan, but if there are only four or five options of something to watch, it would be easy for her to tell which show he would like.

@TSP not to come off as being an asshole or demanding but is there a reason why there is a long wait time for the chapter to come out? Are the scanlations up to date with the new chapters? Is it very difficult to translate the text? I'm just genuinely curious.

Hello, thank you for the question! You are not being an asshole at all!

I think what you mean to ask about is the release rate. It is monthly in Japan, so as you might expect, even if we released 4 hours after Japan released it,
we would still have to wait a month to get more chapters to work on.

For this month, we released c116 the day it came out in Japan, then c117 the following day. We don't always release this fast but we try to be as quick as time allows.
We have never been behind releases once since we picked up the series 3 years ago. (e.g., it taking us longer than a month to release a chapter, so then we end up creating a backlog)
