Urgh, "low-alcohol " or not, I don't understand why they'd let some middle school kids just walk up and take a cup of sake. I don't like drinking, and I especially don't like underage drinking. That was something I never expected in this Manga, but that's Japanese culture for you. It's attitude regarding alcohol is probably I dislike most about Japan.

Man, I dragged that on instead of focusing on the nicer parts of this chapter, didn't I?

@Doctor_Malsyn It's a cultural thing and a religious thing. In most Western countries with Christianity, they will have people under the age of 21 consume small amounts of wine as part of the weekly mass celebration. I've never had Amazake, but I imagine the alcohol content is VERY low. Additionally, after a little bit of research, they can also make it alcohol free. So just assume any time middle school kids are drinking it, it's the alcohol free version.
