Niwa got knocked out on page 16 by the terrible, terrible revelation that Nitori kissed the chief, but he's suddenly miraculously revived by the need to chase Nitori when he ran away XD

My impression is that this is probably the author's initial concept, and after that she analyzed and reconsidered the characters and their relationships and turned the story into what we know from Karasu no kachou-sama!

No worries, though, the sequel, Karasu no Danna-sama! features the Nitori we all know and love from volume 1^^

Yeah, I went back and read the full manga and they mention this as the original!
