What's changing is that the younger generation, with the rise of social media, is starting to take less crap when it comes to these traditional standards. Why be surprised, it's a very japanese thing. Everyone is expected to conform to the norms of society in Japan. The population overwhelming the same group of people, 98% of something i think. Standing out or going against the grain in Japan isn't as acceptable or a good idea compare to some other countries unfortunately. To put it bluntly, compare to how it's portrayed in Japanese media [like anime or manga], it's often not good to be different in Japan especially if you want to be accepted by society.

Glad you and the groups are talking. So many groups have slowed down or stopped due to a lack of redrawers. I hope that ‘Akiba Detectives’ and ‘I’d Rather Sleep’ are able to start updating but they are in the same boat.
