It's always great seeing things handled in a mature and reasonable manner in this series.

I wonder what it's like to change to another company while working. All the places I've worked for have closed down while I was there. Even a couple of places I've applied to shortly after I applied...

Oh man, there were a few people mad about poaching while I didn't think much about it (since it didn't seem that Ban had any malicious intent, but was just a bit abrupt with her wording, and it was always going to be Subaru's own decision to take the opportunity in the end).

Apparently, Ban only wanted to confirm what kind of person had made the proposal, taking some time for a presentation they knew they would reject, in order to give a recommendation for another company better suited for her passion. That's someone that doesn't step on others to get to where she wants, but instead opens doors for them.

On the other hand, Subaru is going to have some drama with his brother? He had stated before that his parents were both dead so I assume that Enokida Jou is his brother. We'll have to see what the picture is, either it shows him with Kasane or crossdressing, the latter being something that is definitely going to stress Subaru out. With that said, his brother stumbling upon that sort of picture would mean he's got some exposure to that kind of culture and probably has no issue with it. (Or maybe his brother looks remarkably like Subaru and someone else thought he was the one crossdressing.) Well, let's hope it turns out well in the end.

Oh so she wasn't scouting her for her company. Then I take back what I said last chapter.

It kinda sucks when you have to leave a place where you are comfortable, but feeling like it's a "betrayal" is poison for your carreer growth. At the end of the day, even a nice and cozy job is just a job and you should prioritize your own growth/happiness.

ive been in same position of staying at company thats clearly bad for my mental/health, but still felt guilty about leaving despite that. like he said, sometimes you just gotta take that leap of faith to better yourself

As someone wrestling with a similar question regarding whether it's time to change jobs, I 100% agree with the advice in this chapter.

Also 100% jealous of our adorable couple. The author is just so good at making delicate scenes like this just pop :glee:

Well count me among those that misread the situation! It's still odd to turn a project proposal into a career guidance meeting, and Ban did come across a bit sharp. But Ban's read on things was correct and it produced good results. All's well that ends well, I guess. I did say that it would depend on what Kasane's career goals were, and they ended up aligning.

I know that feeling. Not wanting to leave a job because of the people.

for me it was just moving to a new position in my company. I had to do thos twice. At the end of the day I'm super happy in my current position, and I'm lucky to still be able to see the people I loved working with on a daily.

also, they are so cute together. making a cuddle nest, holding hands, talking about issues in an adult manner.

Author let these find a happy ending and my body is yours.

I know it won’t happen—Subaru is nowhere near confident enough yet—but I’d love to see him respond to his (presumed) brother with a cheery “Yup! Sure is! 🙂” Toss the ball back into his court.

How pleasant it is to read how many of us can relate to those troubles of leaving a good workplace behind.
