This is a light read that's not overwhelmingly fluffy, perfect to read during winter. Perhaps I feel that way because the black and white color scheme contrast between the two main characters is forever present throughout the 4-komas.

Fujiwara-sama has left us a work of beauty. Some scenes or interactions feel so dreamlike and immersive! The fact that it is unfinished makes it even more appealing to read. In fact, my adoration for this work led me to purchase physicals of all three volumes!

Seeing her previous work "Dear" makes me realize how different a mangaka's drawing style can get over many years.

Thank you for showing us the extent of your beautiful imagination, Fujiwara-sama, and may you rest well with your works.

I heard that this was getting an anime adaptation, and since I'm a stickler for that Romeo & Juliet trope where enemies fall in love, I decided to give this a read. And it properly delivered what was expected. A nice wholesome slice of life romcom manga between an evil general and a struggling magical girl who are crushing and care about each other.

This series has a lot of potential, but it's unfortunate that the mangaka had passed away. One of the worst feelings as a manga reader when you're reading a very great manga only to have it cancelled because its mangaka passed away... May Fujiwara Cocoa rest in peace.

I'm hoping that the anime gives this series justice. With its 4-koma format and only having 20 chapters, it's hard for me to imagine the anime being able to adapt everything and reach 11-12 episodes in a way that the story flows properly. But I could be proven wrong, and I hope I'm proven wrong. Perhaps the anime will give this series a proper ending instead of leaving things on a cliffhanger.

8-9/10; A pretty great series that could've been better if not for Cocoa's passing. May she rest in peace.

Yeah, it is a good series, i hope anime version of it will really ended the series properly instead of clifthanger like this...

"Oh, it's starting to rain."
"No, there's no rain..."
"Yes, it's raining..."
"Yeah you're right."

R.I.P Fujiwara Cocoa, I always enjoy you're creation from Durara, Inu X Boku SS, and this one (Katsute Mahou Shoujo to Aku wa Tekitai Shiteita)

Damn, I looked into this out of curiosity after watching the anime, but I didn't know the mangaka actually passed away. That's a real shame, but I wonder why the anime studio picked this up to be adapted for the season long after her passing? How often does that happen?

Wonder when the authors gonna come back to life and finish this
I swear I’m not a cynical tech user and I like humans… but at the rate of ai generating pictures and text stories… I really wouldn’t be shocked in 10 or even 5 years if we get multiple genuine and accurate mangas like this one that continue where we left off
