20 days ago, when chapter 45 was translated, I commented about how annoying the tsundere cliché can be if pushed to the extreme, and ended my post with this :
"At the very least she admitted her feelings, but that's literally the only positive thing about this arc imo. I really hope that this will be a turning point in the relationship, because it's been 45 chapters of her being an absolute pain in the ass. 45 chapters without any progress despite the fact that they've been going out together since chapter 1."
And welp, last chapter didn't feel like a turning point at all. Like, for God's sake, it was supposed to be the usual cliché "love rival" arc that we all hate because of how it's overused, but that at least brings some progress to the story. It's usually the moment where the annoying tsundere character realizes her feeling through the jealousy she experiences because of the love rival. It's the moment where she realizes she has to become more honest with her feelings because she might lose her lover otherwise.
How can you mess up so bad as the author that even an arc as cliché and overused as this doesn't bring any progress to your story?
In the end we're back to square one, with a new arc where he goes to a mixer, where there will probably be a new "rival girl", he will probably be misunderstood by his gf, only for all of this new arc to lead to NOTHING again.
It's especially disappointing since the art was really nice and the original plot was interesting too (it's rare to find 4koma of an adult romance with an older woman). I've been waiting for months for an update on this manga, but when I finally get it it's this disappointing. It's been 46 chapters of running in circle.
I also really hoped this one would turn out better than the really disappointing "Mata, Kata Omou" from the same author, but nope. It seems this author just really can't write a good romcom story.
Needless to say, I'm dropping this too.
