Bed Bath and Beyond is thankfully dead now, because going in to one of those was like finding yourself trapped in a funhouse mirror. Except the quality of cushions was terrible, and the blenders were destined for craigslist.

ngl I've never heard of bed bath and beyond, the only big furniture store chain I know of other than ikea is jysk. though i suspect this chapter was most likely parodying ikea.

Now-defunct American home goods store that was (in)famous for sending coupons in the mail every few weeks to like every mailbox in the country.

Actually had some pretty good stuff, but a lot of crap, too. Really good for getting kitchen items that you would otherwise have to go to specialized stores for. Lower quality, usually, but not many people are professional chefs.

Regarding the bedroom question I would suggest having two bedrooms, that way there would be no pressure on always having to sleep together. Not to mention that there would be a spare room for guests to stay over.
