The one thing I'll never understand about this manga is why Sakamo-chan is put in so many cute romantic situations with the protagonist when she literally could never win. Like she's not even the losing heroine because there was no game to lose to begin with, since the main couple was dating from the get go.

I get that it's supposed to be a slapstick comedy and not be taken that serious, the joke is her misunderstanding everything, etc. but I can't help but feel it's a bit mean spirited to make her go through all this emotional turmoil. Idk.
