to advocate for the husband for a moment:

did she ever actually tell her husband anything at all about what her parents did to her, because iirc she completely avoided the topic whenever it was brought up

also, the photos that he saw definitely made him start questioning the actions of her father, but they were technically """"only"""" photos of her sleeping and not being raped. creepy? ya. something a parent should not be doing? heck ya. rape? na.

and now that she finally gets to stand up to her mother and yell at her, we clearly see him looking horrified and trying to understand what happened, but he is having a hard time with it because he seems to have a very firm "family is everything" point of view

Airi is a model and got kidnapped on her way home. Her kidnapper lives in a house full of trash and rapes her everyday. Airi plans to escape by gaining his trust and slowly getting more freedom. Hiro (the kidnapper) one day questions Airi about who took her virginity. Turns out, she was raped by her own father, and after the first time, he would rape her everyday. She was 12 or something. Her mother discovered it but instead of helping her, she f*cking turned a blind eye on the matter!!! Airi even got pregnant and at the hospital her parents where acting all "my daugter had unprotected sex!," "I taught you better," "you have to tell us who is the father" (yeah, the audacity). Got an abortion (traumatic experience), got scouted for her good looks and left the house after. Airi thinks, being happy is the best revenge against her past.

Hiro lost his mind and acts like a dog and she keeps him as such.

She got back to her modeling job and justified her disappearance as a depression getaway. She got married to Yu-kun and live "happily" with him and a golden retriever (and a human dog Hiro hidden away in a secret room)

I'll call him Yu from now on. He was Airi's boyfriend for a while before her kidnapping and he was sweet and considerate and deeply in love with Airi. They tried to have (consented) sex but it triggered Airi's trauma so they didn't do it. He doesn't know Airi's past. After the kidnapping, they met again and did the deed. One day, he followed her home (kinda creepy, now that I think about it) and discovered the existence of Hiro. Airi explained the kidnapping and told him how important was Hiro to her, and Yu proposed to help her take care of him and proposed marriage. They married. He's the only person that know about the kidnapping which makes him think he knows her better than anyone but remains unaware about her family situation.

Well, some things happened. They met Yu's family, a normal loving family, and Airi's a bit jealous of it. They met Airi's parents, she acts cold and akward around them but Yu acts all friendly like a perfect son-in-law. Yu values family and tells Airi to be friednlier with her own family (poor dude has no idea). Hiro kinda regains "sanity" (stopped acting like a dog) and becomes once again Airi's best emotional support. Yu gets jealous. He almost cheated (?) or more like taken advantage of by a girl who made use of his emotional distress, but got away because he was thinking about Airi when in the bedroom.

Spoiler: What now?

Good question. Airi's dad died while jerking off thinking about raping her again. They will attend his funeral. Airi's told Hiro she's glad he died. Yu heard that and, not knowing abouth the family drama, was enraged by Airi disregarding family and slapped her.
