With this twist, It would make some sense. People you are that close to usually don't change so drastically without some signs. Unless they are brainwashed or a demon in disguised.
I imagine she was slowly over the years corrupting his personality into what we see currently, she probably gave him the magical eyes too speed up the process too.

So did this thing replace Lisa or was she manipulating him from the start? I hope it's the former (as long as the real lisa isn't dead.)

Good I would have been pissed if all of them was forgiven by MC and his woke ass behaviour! Tired of MCs sucking off trash traitors

Imagine the wackiness if Sain himself was the one brainwashed by Lisa all along
I thought that was obvious already. Multiple of the past few chapters now had been hinting at it every time we were shown their party traveling towards the fortress.

Ch. 49:
Sain is the traitor. Just that the chance fell on his lap and he took it. Toru's parents were murdered just to move Lisa's goalpost, and it had to do with Sain (due to his NTR fetish), unfortunately.

yes..he it's ...since she wants control hero from killing her

So, was Lisa always evil? Or was she replaced by whomever this may be at some point? 🤔
Maybe Sain wasn't the mastermind afterall.

Thanks for the translation.
was demon lord herself ...

About next chapter
will reveal herself as demon lord and her true level was 800..twice over compare with Toru

And also the person who kill both Tory parents ..we will see flashback when Lisa killing both

could be that the hero wasn't a bad guy, it could be that he was possessed and gradually changed at some point.
lisa (torus former fiancee) arrived with sain at the village of toru, soara and nei.
the most hostility should be reserved for lisa, if she really manipulated everything.

So she was a demon all along to corrupt the hero, eh? Well played (and yes, I read the spoiler comment because...curiosity lol)

So what a powerful character like her got her back blown out when she could do this in the first place? lol.
She kind of had a reason.
As mentioned by others, she's the Demon Lord and at level 800 (so even if Sain tried to brainwash her it wouldn't have worked since it doesn't effect anyone higher level than him). Thing is, as long as the Demon Lord lives, there will always be a Hero. And that hero will possess the capacity to learn and use an ability that will temporarily lower her by one level every second. As long as the Hero is able to hold out for a few minutes, he can turn her into a weak joke that even a brand new adventurer from a starter town could easily kill. And as I said, there will always be a Hero if there's a Demon Lord, so if she kills the Hero then someone else will gain that power, only she won't know who or where. If she kills Sain, she'll have to desperately search while the Hero grows stronger every day, and by the time she finds them they may be completely unstoppable.

So she had a few choices. First, she could kill Sain the moment she met him when he was still a weak kid, but this would just give her a new threat to hunt down. Second, she could show off her power and force him into slavery, potentially leading to deep-seated hate and eventual rebellion from the one person whose very nature has the power to nerf her. She went with the third option: corrupt him, erase any desire for justice in him, and turn herself into a partner or possession that he could never lose or allow to be damaged. This way, he'd be weaker than he could be otherwise, and he'd be easy to manipulate.

Also, she seduced Toru because she saw that Sain's most basic darkness was jealousy, and his worst lust was netori, the desire to take what "belongs" to another. Thus, by becoming Toru's girl and fiance, she ensured that Sain would burn with desire and envy and seek to take her, making it far easier to get him to not only embrace a relationship with her but get him to do so in a way that would encourage corruption, narcissism, greed, etc. And sure enough, once he'd taken Lisa and gained the power to take who he wants regardless of their will, he was quick to take everyone else Toru had just for the fun of it and dive off the deep end with enthusiasm.

Honestly, the whole thing was rather clever and well thought out.

i mean from what i understand from spoilers LN readers have stated,
she Basically was brainwashing him since Childhood, more accurately she was grooming him to be the Least Effective hero possible by making him a complete Degenerate (it's also going to reveal in the next few chapter she's also a Sadistic psychopath who enjoyed torturing the other girls.)

Huh. Shit gets real next chapter.

Sain is not brainwashed. Sain was always a horrible piece of shit. Lisa just gave him the chance to be his real self.
Which could be an allegory about a certain category of people.... cough cough
