She's been feeling this way for a while, but she struggled with whether she was confusing her feelings for Kasane with those for her sister. Now she's realized Kasane is her own person, and yet Meguru's feelings haven't changed (the hair dryer scene). Of course, it comes at a time when Kasane believes her only possible role is to take the sister's place, so she seems to view the change in Meguru as a bad sign. At least Kasane is a simp for Meg, so she's not going to distance herself or anything. Misunderstanding basically.

I don't feel like Kasane would be against dating. She fell into the "sister" role because she thinks that all Meguru wants. Her OtakU Brain stuff just seems used for jokes and to help her be cheerful as a contrast to everyone else being depressed as hell. But we'll see.

Can we be real for a second here. Does kasane really want to be her sister figure if she loves her? If meguru views kasane as a sister, that means she has no romantic chance (in a normal society 0_0). Meguru wants to be close with her even without the sister pretense. As in, kasane has a chance for more. Kasane kinda dumb lol

Also this is good for meguru compared to what she was doing before...
