Haha, are you telling me that Shooter manipulated the princess for years merely because he hates skinny girls? He never had any political agendas whatsoever? He only wanted to make money, which he made, I assume, by making a bunch of nobles believe he was orchestrating a coup in favour of whatever candidate those nobles were supporting, plus he used Krumfal for that purpose as well, to gain credibility. Finally he wanted the princess to get executed so that he could acquire a ring from her? However, since he hates skinny girls with passion, he couldn't wait for the headsman to do his job, he had to kill the princess himself.
Also, what the heck happend to the MC's powers? He's suddenly unable to create barriers? Why and when did that happen? I don't understand.
This whole arc feels like a giant mess.

So MC was in such a hurry to get over there that he forgot how to use his barrier powers?
He didn't prepare a shield for himself despite being in the middle of an assassination plot.
He doesn't shield the knights that's coming with him either despite expecting there to be trouble up ahead.
Said knights are apparently also incompetent as all hell given they can't do their job of protecting the princess from the bad guy that's right there in the room or even react to him getting back up to try again.
And MC literally stands there and watches the villain get back up on his feet; draw his sword; and charge the princess only to engage him in a swordfight? Instead of just trapping him in a barrier and choking him out?

You'd think him getting pro training since childhood and then experiencing the tragedy would make him a lot more cautious, but nooooo his title as great demon lord means absolutely nothing and he somehow got nerfed by writer and can't put up a barrier.

You'd think it'd be easy to write an op character and jeep him op, especially since originally his powers weren't great at straight offense. But noooooo mc has to constantly struggle with being a dragon ball character who just points and yells at things.

So the barrier master doesn't keep a barrier on himself? Why?
Also the follow up action to knocking Shooter back should have been to seal him up in a barrier. Putting a target in a caged barrier should be his go-to self-defenses action. It should be practically an automatic response to a threat. Instead they have MC-kun just jobbing for the sake of plot. 🙄

Bruh what am I reading, I get it takes time to develop characters but this chapter just killed it for me, spent years since childhood training barrier magic since its his specialty but ends up forgetting to use it? or you'd think he'd atleast use it straight away especially from his previous experience not protecting those close to him.. meh what do I know I'm not a storyteller
This dude really just made the dumbest attempt failed miserably and asked the princess to die and take the fall for him. U had no business being a villain lil bro. gotta be the most pathetic, unthought thru yet audacious attempts to usurp the throne ever

I really enjoy this manga but this has to be the worst MC ever. He’s pretty much OP and is consistently getting stronger but never actually uses that power well. He’s constantly on the losing side of battles, cannot think, and has zero reaction time. Every single injury/death so far has been the fault of the MC being an utter moron and it’s really infuriating to read. The slice of life moments are so great but any amount of drama with MC included just turns the chapter into a burning pile of shit.
