Idk the laws in Japan but a couple getting divorced suddenly then later remarried in my country would be an insanely hard undertaking it would be very funny if they later try to get remarried but then the government is just like no. It would be the funniest ending ever.

I think the author or editor was trying to make things cute but ended up making it weird instead.

Or I dunno. Maybe there's a cultural dissonance here.
Nah they where just 100% trying to milk the series to make it last a bit longer but completely failed :shamihuh:

Man this arc is HOT FUCKING GARBAGE :02:

It makes me so mad how MC see's himself as hot trash when my dude not only did the Hot girl who had several people try asking out but got denied now LOVES YOU but you ALSO managed to get a DUDE who seems to have $$$ also fall for you

You are the BEST HOUSE HUSBAND OUT THERE and yet MC thinks all these things means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING because apparently being a wagecuck office worker is MORE OF A RESPECTFUL JOB then a fucking house husband :shamihuh:

I fucking swear this whole arc is complete and utter garbage that they 100% created just to milk the story longer, ffs I bet my ass AI could probably write a better fucking arc then this shit(AI written story is way worse but you get the point) :aquadrink:

Makes me really sad since this was really cute between MC/FMC :meguuusad:

I mean honestly, divorcing because you married because you both had problems to resolve to now both of you and especially him getting over his fears for him to intend to propose to her properly, I think that's fine, and cool, I'd much rather not take that route and have someone to lean on but if he wants to be self stable and take over his fears then why not

Just for head up ....

in upcoming chapter 16

their divorce very short one ..and both vow of marriage again in next chapter

Tbh....both make contract that this marriage are with assumptions both will divorce within time period ...

And now both complete the contact ...

What next it's up to them ...but most important ..both fulfill the contract between both

Hey guys remember when have someone you love, and who loves you, and a part of yourself you want to work on improving, the absolute best course of action is to push the person you love away and keep them at arms length while you try to deal with your problems alone. Make sure to not see them for months at a time as you're buys with work. This is a healthy relationship.
how the hell did they manage to double down on the worst part of the manga. Ok, 2nd worst part after the yuri stalker.

Probably...the best way to overcome your insecurities isn't by isolating yourself and throwing yourself into work...therapy is pretty effective y'know?
Why are you so racist against the Japanese?

It's really sad that so many people think he should just be happy being a male tradwife instead of wanting to better himself and want to contribute equally to a relationshipe. 'Because anyone wanting work in order to gain life experience is a wagecuck.' :questionblob:
Its less that he should be happy being a tradmanwife and do nothing to improve himself, and more "Working on improving yourself does not mean literally divorcing the person you love". They can be dating and living together and he can still work on improving himself with his partner to help him

Additionally, its not that he's off to be a wagecuck so much as...
1) he's not just competent at housework, he's really good at it and likes it. He's an amazing housekeeper and it would be better to leverage that instead of being a midtier office drone.
2)this is basically amplifying the most toxic part of Japanese professional society (you must be working in the office until you collapse every day or you are a worthless burden) and presenting it as a solution. Literally no one's mental health improves by being a salaryman.
3) minus his internal selfloathing and the thought of it ending eventually, he was happy being Rui's tradwife. He should have worked on his own internal perceptions (which he is too fair) instead of chasing external changes and approval of society/his mother.

Yes, I do remember this never happening in this manga

I can see where this is going. I completely understand wanting not to be completely dependent on the other person, but he'll probably overdo it and that's going to be what the next chapters will revolve around, at least that's my guess.

Looking forward to it because this chapter was surprisingly weak - very little happening that we haven't seen before, I guess it's nice that Rui learned how to cook and the ketchup bit was a bit funny but most of it felt like filler- to the point that people started to instead whine in the comments that the thing the characters explicitly told will happen, actually happened :p

Can't wait for overworking and burnout arc
Woohoo

sigh

Can't even say "get married you two" to these two idiots 'cause they'll divorce again

It's funny how the title of this series seems lost on a lot of people here lol...
And the feelings of the Male Lead apparently. Insecurities can easily break down a relationship, it's pretty common in fact.
Very confused by the users on MangaDex, so many seem actively against romance series?

It feels like the only reason we're getting this is so that the Manga can have a nice pretty bow ending. Make the MC feel good about himself after wasting all this time and money before bringing them back together... probably like next chapter tbh. The MC will buy his stupid rings and get his mom to say he's super awesome actually (that's honestly what they should've made the next arc after Rui's parents but whatever and so much story could've been squeezed out of that awful mother but again whatever) and then he'll propose and they'll get married and we'll time skip to them having children and close curtains.

I feel like this series never had legs and it couldn't find any along the way.

Bro seriously this is so fucking frustrating. He has 10/10 rich girl who loves him and is willing to put him up for free and all he has to do is be a house husband which he’s GOOD AT. But no, he has to work minimum wage at McDonalds and live in a murder apartment in a shitty part of town because that’s what adults are supposed to do. Switch places with me, asshole.
What I love is that bro is literally doing what he did for Rui as a married couple, but now he's getting less value from it and that somehow makes it boost his confidence more... what? Everyone kept constantly telling him how valuable he was as a person and in that relationship, and apparently he FREAKING AGRREED because he took his skills as a house husband and went freelance. Like what are we doing??

What's genuinely frustrating is that the Manga itself cannot justify why the Mc needs to be alone. In fact the author apparently has so little confident in the story that they can't actually commit and follow through with that idea. Any ATLA fans? Imagine if Zuko told Iroh he needed to travel alone to figure things out... and then instead of "Zuko alone" the next episode was "Zuko & Iroh and nothing really changed but we promise it has guys like totally" or again we didn't get Iroh refusing to speak to Zuko after his massive blunder in Ba Sing Se. That solitude and that silence can really force a character to grow. It can be used great in a story to zero in on that character and their journey to become a better person on their own, while using their life experiences (including all the influence another important person (like Rui)) has had on them. But the Manga can't give us that here. Instead the MC IMMEDIATELY just goes back to Rui's house and does exactly the same thing we've been seeing except this time RUI managed to grow a little (her cooking could've been done with him there too but whatever) and the MC gets some super fun monologuing panels about being better (would love to actually see him becoming a stronger, more confident person).

Umm....if we "stick with the title" the implications could very well be a heartbreak, tragedy and a heavy series as well
But the author definitely keeps it as light hearted romcom
I don't think the title is supposed to be deep or anything

(And the truth is this isn't a nicely done series, the serious parts aren't even handled properly. This is yet another one of those stories about adults that is mostly aimed at teens)
