I don't know why people are having such strong feelings about this; the writing clearly had this plot in mind (end the fake marriage to make way for new totally legitimate marriage that won't cause feelings of guilt because it will be started with proper intentions and clarity).
Also, this is clearly reaching the end of the story. The goal is in sight and it wouldn't make sense to extend it past then because they've already done the "but what's it like when they are married and living together?". I was going to say I expect it to end by chapter 20, except per another poster it's even sooner than that.
They had a silly premise, fulfilled it, and will conclude the story. It's not like there's amazing character work or worldbuilding here...I feel like this is one of the few cases where a story is being written exactly as intended without finishing too early or late.

I don't get what's so bad on himself trying to stand up in the way he sees correctly, he has slef confidence problems that no one except himself can change, no comment from other people can completely make you feel better unless you yourself feel better about yourself and he has lived all his life depending on others, now he wants to do it himself to feel ready to be by her side. Also tf does it matter if he divorced it's all damn symbolical, he didn't leave her nor is he distancing himself from her, he even said that he can go to her house and it's perfectly fine with her coming to his house.
What he wants is feel alright with himself to not ruin things with the person he loves and wants to support, how is he gonna support her when he can't even support himself.
