I really liked how this chapter addressed labels in the context of relationships, and the pressure there is from both others/society and even oneself to have a concrete, succinct answer. Having a checkmark as a response to a short answer question was a pleasant surprise, and reaffirms the “out of the box”-ness (literally, since the checkmark is partially outside the box) nature of their relationship, along with the fact that it doesn’t need any specific label. For Arita, simply acknowledging its existence is satisfyingly enough.
Thank you for picking this series up! I’m glad translations have picked up again, it’s one of the few manga I’ve read so far that explores these atypical non-societally-normative relationships!
