I want Emden to win but start treating Solon better. Emden is a slave and an underdog and he knows it, so it's not hard to understand where he is coming from. Emden is awkward but he isn't a complete asshole, he did offer that cat in the previous chapter his snack and he did seem sorry about his behavior around Solon's kids.

It's funny to see Emden's trainer chiding him for his words despite acting very similarly before his own defeat and retirement.

That would also be good and might happen. I just don't want him to get absolutely battered and have nothing to show for it. Hopefully because that's happened once already it wint happen now but who knows, when it happened last time it happened to someone with no real redeeming features, Emden is a tard but he still deserves better, his only misfortune was not being born in the right social class.

Jokes aside, I agree. It’s a nice little touch of character dev but at the same time? Imo it’s unfortunate that he doesn’t seem to see where he’s coming from, despite coming from the same place.
