protag said melulu was a saint escort and died before (s)he became the saint's. we see that melulu just became one (i assume the evil saint just didn't encounter her last time), so we'd be quite far back in the timeline. still no idea what will cause melulu's death (or it was a mistranslation and she was meant to die here, which would then be pretty close to when the saint met original protag), norbwhen it would've happened.

the real question is if original protag's body is still around.
