The store clerk has a name, it's a cameo from Jitsu wa, Watashi wa and her name is Sasaki, it was a welcome surprise seeing her, she helped the protagonist in the other manga pick a gift too so that's fun.

I want to know which present Ya ended up buying, and whether things ends up working out for him. I can see this being a joke setup for a future chapter. If Ya gets accepted... No, I can't see that happening. Anyways, if Ya gets rejected, I wonder if Hikoichi will become more apprehensive.

This chapter confirms that Kirishima is the strongest character in this verse. I bet he was acting sleepy just to keep Hikoichi in the boutique. Ya may not be as socially intelligent, but he's definitely going to provide Hikoichi with confidence going forwards.
